No one could tell me where my soul might be; I searched for God, but he eluded me; I sought my brother out and found all three.
Each year at AEPi’s International Convention, undergraduate and alumni brothers are recognized for their outstanding achievements in their chapters, on their campuses, in their communities or in their professions. Undergraduate awards are given to both individuals and chapters.
The Gitelson Silver Medallion recognizes alumni for their commitment to Jewish communal services. The Medallion is presented in memory of the scholarship and communal activity of Nehemiah Gitelson, Talmudic scholar and father of M. Leo Gitelson, a 1921 graduate of New York University. The Gitelson Medallion is awarded by a vote of the AEPi Foundation Board of Directors.
The Arthur and Simi Teich Award for Distinguished Alumni Achievement is presented to an alumnus who has demonstrated leadership in his chosen field, has an exceptional reputation among his peers and has applied the skills of his profession to the advancement of the ideals of Alpha Epsilon Pi. The award is named for Arthur Teich (Pennsylvania, 1935) who spent his entire adult life in service to the fraternity.
THE ORDER OF THE LION
Alpha Epsilon Pi’s highest award is The Order of the Lion. It is recommended by a special committee and is conferred by vote of the Supreme Council. The basis for the award is service to the fraternity over a long span of years, above and beyond the call of duty. Of the more than 100,000 men who have been initiated into AEPi, only 57 have received this honor.
Alpha Epsilon Pi has summer internship and career opportunities for brothers looking to hone their professional skills while advancing the interests of the fraternity and launch a career in Jewish and leadership programming. Summer internship opportunities exist at International Headquarters in Indianapolis, IN and at the AEPi Foundation office in Bethesda, MD. Career opportunities exist in Bethesda, Indianapolis and at chapters throughout the world.
