Letters from the Foundation Chairman & CEO

Dear Brothers,

It is an enormous honor to serve as the Chairman of the Alpha Epsilon Pi Foundation, our fraternity’s philanthropic giving arm which supports the mission and values of the Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity.

I hope you enjoy this issue of the Lion of Alpha Epsilon Pi with some special Foundation articles sprinkled throughout.

As I witnessed firsthand at last year’s convention in suburban Washington, DC, our chapters around the world are thriving and our Brothers continue to hold themselves and each other to continually higher standards. We continue to boast the highest GPA of any Greek organization and over the past five years our undergraduate chapters have raised more than $250,000 per year for 10 Jewish and Israel-based charitable organizations, including including JNF, BBYO, the Simon Wiesenthal Center, Birthright, Heroes to Heroes, IDF Widows & Orphans and Gift of Life. We stand tall and proud of our Jewish heritage, combatting anti-Semitism, supporting Israel, and fighting the BDS movement on campuses every day.

Making all of this happen requires extensive work by our more than 50 international fraternity staff, led by AEPi Fraternity CEO, Jim Fleischer. To support this, AEPi Foundation CEO, Andy Borans, has continued to travel the world to build support for our programs, including leadership development, partnerships with educational and Jewish communal organizations, and provision of scholarships, financial support and programming for the betterment of AEPi Brothers, their campuses, and their communities.

I hope to see you soon at an upcoming Foundation event!

Fraternally,

Dan Hays, Georgia Tech, 1995

CHAIRMAN, ALPHA EPSILON PI FOUNDATION

Dear Brothers,

I am thrilled with my move to the AEPi Foundation. This was a natural transition for me after 40 years with the Fraternity. My team at the Foundation and I have worked diligently to ensure the success of AEPi Internationally, and know that the work we do now will bear fruit for the future leaders of the world’s Jewish communities.

I am incredibly proud to watch our fraternity continue to grow larger every day and I look forward to continue to build a stronger AEPi Foundation to support our undergraduates around the world. As we continue to grow our operations and expand our alumni programming, we hope you will join us in supporting the mission of AEPi.

Fraternally,

Andrew S. Borans, Florida State, 1980

CEO, ALPHA EPSILON PI FOUNDATION
