From the Chief Executive Officer

Dear Brothers,

Welcome to The Lion! I hope you enjoy our thoughts on the future of AEPi, fraternities and Jewish student life. Our goal with this issue is to give our readers some insight into our strategic thinking as we work to move our fraternity and the AEPi Foundation into the next decade.

These are trying times for fraternities and Jewish students and AEPi has been at the forefront of much of these trials. We are working every day to help create safe fraternity experiences for our undergraduates and guests so we can continue to support our fraternity’s mission of developing the future leadership of the world’s Jewish communities.

AEPi is leading the way.

We’re leading the way to developing a more comprehensive proactive effort to promote safety in our chapters through our “I Am My Brother’s Keeper” program where we ask that each undergraduate and alumnus Brother sign
a pledge to protect the safety of their Brothers, guests and community.

We’re leading the way in creating new programs for our undergraduates to help them to become even more effective advocates for Jewish and Israeli causes.

And, we’re leading the way in raising awareness and funding for Jewish and Israeli philanthropies, having just completed a campaign to raise $100,000 for each of ten causes and immediately committing to raising more funds for other Jewish and Israeli causes.

Enjoy this issue. I hope it will encourage you to get involved with our Foundation and volunteer to help grow our chapters. Remember, AEPi is a commitment for a lifetime. We’re looking for your help now!

Fraternally,

Jim Fleischer
