We’ve created a list of resources to help you and your son navigate typical issues that they face entering their first year of college. If there’s a resource you’d like us to add, let us know at [email protected].
AEPi has given to me what no other organization has. Beyond the amazing Jewish community and awesome programs, AEPi has given me lifelong friends, and my family away from home. I owe the depth of my college experience to this fraternity.
Even though I have an Israeli parent, I was never involved in the Jewish community until I joined Alpha Epsilon Pi. AEPi opened my eyes to three new families I never knew I could have: my chapter Brothers, my international Brothers, and my Jewish heritage. There is no way I'd be where I am today without AEPi's Jewish values and leadership development!
Going to college, I was concerned that I would be treated differently for being Jewish. Going to Chabad and Hillel with my Brothers for Shabbat and the High Holidays showed me that we should never be ashamed, or try to hide, our Judaism. Instead, we should proclaim it. AEPi taught me that you shouldn’t just be a “Jew” in college, but a Jewish man who embraces his Judaism. What better way than being a part of the Jewish Fraternity?
AEPi is the reason I was able to get so involved in Jewish life at UCLA. From going on Birthright with members of my new member class, to walking to Hillel for Shabbat every Friday with many other Brothers in the house, AEPi was always able to support my ideal Jewish college experience!
Going to college, across the country, at Rutgers, I knew I wanted to find a group of like-minded gentlemen to build lifelong friendships with. I found that at Alpha Epsilon Pi and was also able to gain incredible hands-on leadership experience and professional development. All of this was coupled with a shared Jewish background and Israel advocacy, making it easier to effectively learn about the differences and similarities of the Brotherhood. Joining AEPi is one of the best decisions I have made.
