SCHEDULE

When and where is International Convention?

Alpha Epsilon Pi’s 106th International will be held Wednesday, August 7 through Sunday, August 11 at the The Hilton Alexandria Mark Center.

When should I arrive? When should I leave?

If you are accepted to participate in the Summer Leadership Series preceding Convention, you must book your travel to arrive at the hotel Sunday, August 4 by 12:00 PM.

If you are traveling from Australia, Israel or Europe for the Summer Leadership Series, you will need to arrive Saturday evening, August 3. If you are arriving Saturday, please email Lynsie Morgan by July 1, 2019 to make sure a room is available.

If you are the only brother from your chapter attending Convention (chief delegate), your flight must arrive by 12:00 PM on Wednesday, August 7. You may leave at any time on Sunday, August 11.

Booking travel for rush chairmen and pledgemasters: Your flight must arrive by 4:00 PM on Wednesday, August 7, 2019. You may leave Washington at any time on Sunday, August 11, 2019.

Is there an app for convention?

This year’s AEPi 106 will be hosted through the Attendify app as in previous years. Inside you find a detailed schedule, hotel map, prizes and updates. You will be notified when the app has become available.

TRANSPORTATION

How do I get to the Hotel?

Attendees are responsible for getting to the hotel from the airport or bus/train station. Please consider carpooling with fellow brothers, we suggest calling an Uber/Lyft/cab.

The Hilton Alexandria Mark Center offers complimentary shuttle service. The van arrives at the airport at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport approximately 20 and 50 minutes after the hour. The pick up is at Terminal A, Terminal B door 5, and Terminal C door 9. The last pickup is at approximately 10:50 PM.

ROOMS

May I request roommates?

Undergraduate Brothers may request roommates but assignments are not guaranteed.

How many to a room?

Attendees may choose single, double, triple or quad occupancy during online registration.

MEALS

Are meals provided?

Some meals are included for the duration of Convention. Dietary needs are specified during the registration process.

Kosher options?

All meals are kosher style. There is no treif or mixing of milk and meat. Glatt Kosher meals are available upon request during online registration.If you have any additional dietary needs, please email Lynsie Morgan at [email protected].

ATTIRE

What should I wear?

Business casual attire is recommended for the duration of Convention. Suit and tie are required for the Supreme Council meeting on Friday, model initiation and banquet dinner on Saturday. Saturday Banquet to be black tie optional. See example.

REIMBURSEMENTS

How do I become eligible for a reimbursement?

If you are the chief delegate or rush chair or participating in the Summer Leadership Series, you will receive your travel reimbursement after Convention. In order to receive the reimbursement, you must attend all events required of you as well as submit travel receipts to the receipt portal link distributed to you by email. You must ensure that a proper mailing address is entered into said portal to receive a reimbursement check. If you have any issues, make sure to email Director of Member Services, Sarah Simons, at [email protected] with a proper mailing address to receive a reimbursement.

For reduced convention pricing, undergraduate Brothers must participate in the Summer Leadership Series in the days leading up to convention (“pre-cons”) or represent their chapter as chief delegate (highest ranking officer present) or house manager/rush chair/pledgemaster (chosen by the International Office).

How much money am I eligible for?

Undergraduate Brothers who represent their chapter as chief delegate (highest ranking officer present), house manager/rush chair/pledgemaster (chosen by the International office) will receive a travel reimbursement (info released in email prior to convention) as well as a $275 reimbursement toward registration. Summer Leadership Series attendees will receive a $100 reimbursement for convention registration. Undergraduate brothers who are both eligible officers and participating in the Summer Leadership Series are eligible to receive one reimbursement, the highest of the two.

MISCELLANEOUS

May I stay/sleep outside of the hotel?

Due to liability, attendees must stay in the hotel during the entirety of Convention.
