Up to $2,500-$7,500 ICC Israel Advocacy Grant

 

AEPi is proud to announce one of our partner agencies, Israel Campus Coalition (ICC) has grants opened to our undergraduates.  ICC Israel Advocacy Grants pool has opened.  This Spring alone, over $100,000 in grants of $2,500 to $7,500 each will be provided for original, student-driven pro-Israel initiatives on campuses around the country.

Please remember that these are student-initiated grants, so please pass along the link and information to your Israel interns/fellows or students you know in the pro-Israel community on the campuses with which you work. Grants are reviewed on a rolling basis and are first-come, first-served, and so please don’t delay; grants submitted after December 27 will be reviewed after January 20th.

Up to $150- Israel Celebrations w/ MASA

AEPi. Israel. Party. Up to $150. MASA. Apply Now.

Applications are due one week before your event. All applications are due on May 1, 2010 for second semester events. Events can take place through May 15, 2010. All applications and questions should be directed to mwaitz@aepi.org . Please read the application guidelines before submitting the application.

AEPi is pleased to announce that we have teamed up with MASA to offer up to $150 to our chapters to run Israel themed events. All chapters are eligible. While the event or party should be AEPi driven, co-sponsorships are accepted and encouraged.

Event ideas include philanthropy events for Shaare Zedek, Israel at 62 or Tel Aviv at 101 Birthday Parties, Passover Seders, and Israel themed socials/mixers/formals. Be prepared to advertise MASA programs at your event. More information is provided in the application and below.

MASA Israel Journey grants $2,000-$4,500 towards 200+ long term study, internship and volunteering programs in Israel. Please click here for more information on these opportunities.

Up to $288- Shabbat Meals w/ Birthright NEXT

Birthright NEXT is looking to fund Shabbat dinners, lunches and third meals. Register now.

Registration is due one week before your event.

You must be a Birthright alumnus in order to register for the Shabbat meal, but the meal can be open to all. Attendees do not have to be Birthright alumni. This is a great way for any of your brothers who are Birthright alumni to bring a fantastic Jewish experience to AEPi and the Jewish community on campus. Birthright NEXT is excited to receive your application.

AEPi-specific meal ideas include a brotherhood Shabbat or Greek shabbat. There are many other great ideas on the registration website.

Mission of the Alpha Epsilon Pi Foundation

The Mission of the Alpha Epsilon Pi Foundation, Inc. is to promote the ideals and values of the Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity through leadership development; to partner with educational and Jewish communal organizations; and to provide scholarships, financial support and programming for the betterment of our brothers and our community.

Who Can Apply for a Grant?

  1. An Alpha Epsilon Pi Chapter or Colony
  2. An Alpha Epsilon Pi Alumni Club 
  3. A group of Alpha Epsilon Pi Chapters, Colonies, and/or Alumni Clubs
  4. A Brother of Alpha Epsilon Pi

What Does The Foundation Fund?

The Foundation provides financial support for educational projects in, but not limited to, the following areas:

  • Leadership Development
  • Career and Professional Development
  • Israel Education and Advocacy 
  • Jewish Education and Shabbat/Holiday Observance 
  • Community Service and Social Action

Grant Applications Guidelines

The program must be educational or religious in nature and must conform to mission and objectives of the Alpha Epsilon Pi Foundation, Inc., which can be found above.

  • Funding from the Foundation should not exceed one-half of the total budget of the submitted application.
  • Applicant must include all sources of income and all expenses in the proposed line item budget for the project. Please also indicate the status of all sources of income according the following:
    • Committed: Funds that are already secured.
    • Requested: Funds requested but not yet confirmed.
    • Denied: Funds requested but denied.
  • Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Grant Distribution

  • Grants will be approved by the International office before the date of the planned program and you will receive a grant tracking number.
  • Upon completion of the program, the International Office must receive the following before disbursing the grant check:
    1.  A 1 to 3 paragraph write up of the event including attendance and goals accomplished
    2.  2 -3 Pictures from the event
  • These items should be sent to AEPi.grants@gmail.com with the subject line containing your chapter name, school name and your grant tracking number. 
  • When these items are received, the grant checks will be mailed

Grant Application Deadlines

  • Grant requests of $150 or less are accepted on a rolling basis. The applicant will be notified of the Foundation’s decision within one week.
  • Grant requests which exceed $150 are accepted on a semi-annual basis.
  •    On or before December 1st for programs happening during the first semester
  •    On or before May 1st for programs happening during the second semester
