Hasbara Fellowships
Hasbara Fellowships is a leadership development seminar in Israel for top Jewish university students from across North America. The program has three main objectives: (1) To educate students about the history and politics of Israel and the Middle East, focusing specifically on the issues of the Palestinian conflict; (2) To train students to be effective activists on their campuses by giving them the tools to create a pro-active pro-Israel campaign; and (3) To give students a basic knowledge of Judaism, enabling them to be effective Jewish leaders. Activism On CampusParticipants of the Hasbara Fellowships in Israel return to campus part of a student-led, pro-active Israel activism movement. Hasbara Fellowships staff provide students with constant information, materials, tools and motivation to aid them in being effective pro-Israel activists. Hasbara Fellowships students have run various programs including mock Israeli elections, which promote Israel on campus while simultaneously educating students about Israel.
