Statement from Alpha Epsilon Pi International on International Holocaust Day Statements

February 1, 2017

“Alpha Epsilon Pi, the world’s Jewish college fraternity with 190 chapters on four continents, strongly believes that removing emphasis on the fate of Jews during the Holocaust is a mistake and diminishes the disproportionate impact of the Holocaust on the Jewish people.

AEPi works hard with our nearly 10,000 undergraduates to educate our campuses and our communities about the atrocities of the Holocaust so that no people, neither Jews nor anyone, is ever subject to such hate and persecution.”

Alpha Epsilon Pi (AEPi) is the world’s leading Jewish college fraternity, operating chapters on more than 190 college campuses in eight countries. Founded in 1913, AEPi has more than 90,000 living alumni. While non-discriminatory, the fraternity’s mission – developing the future leaders of the Jewish communities – is demonstrated every day through acts of brotherhood, Tzedakah (charity), social awareness and support for Jewish communities and Israel.
